Matrox G400 Temporary MacroVision Removal

To temporary remove the MacroVision protection when playing a DVD movie do the following :

  1. Pause the player at the beginning of the main movie track (not the titles)
  2. Go to display properties and click the 'Advanced...' button.
  3. Select 'Monitor Settings'.
  4. Select 'Adjust the current display mode'.
  5. Once the adjust screen appears, select 'Cancel'.
  6. Select 'Cancel' on the remaining Display properties dialog boxes.
  7. Unpause the movie and there will be no MacroVision protection!
